PURPOSE:To prevent the expansion of the power fluctuation between electric power systems in an accident by connecting a DC power transmission system in parallel with an AC linking line, controlling the amount of power transmission on the side of the DC power transmission system, and cutting off the AC linking line based on the state of the accident when the accident has occurred in the electric power system. CONSTITUTION:When a large accident, which will develop into system separation, has occurred in an electric power system, the occurrence of the accident is detected from accident information 12 with an accident detecting means 12, which is a conventional device. The detected accident information is sent into a linking-line cut-off command means 8 as an accident-information detected value 13. The linking-line cut-off command means 8 determines whether an AC linking line, which is in parallel with BTB, is cut off or not based on the accident-information detected value 13 and a BTB power-transmission-amount command signal. When it is judged that the line should be cut off, a linking-line cut-off signal 14 is sent into the AC linking line. Therefore, when the accident, by which the power fluctuation in the electric power system expands, has occurred, the AC linking line is cut off, the DC system is controlled and the stabilization of the system can be achieved. |
