PURPOSE:To eliminate the disadvantage of a conventional offset rotary press by rapidly detecting the malfunction of a print sheet when the sheet is cut by developing an offset rotary press to obviate the disadvantage. CONSTITUTION:An offset rotary press has a drying mechanism 4 for drying a print sheet 1 which is continuously fed with hot air after printing, and comprises a sheet breakage inspecting mechanism 60, and a cutting mechanism 70. When the sheet 1 is cut, the cut is detected by the mechanism 60, the mechanism 70 disposed at this side is operated based on the detection to cut the sheet 1. The press also comprises a slack inspecting mechanism 80 disposed at least at this side of the mechanism 40. The mechanism 70 is operated when the slack of the sheet 1 due to the cut of the sheet is detected to cut the sheet 1. |
