<p>The method involves use of a protocol which is generated by a sender (A) and produces a transaction word (d). The transaction word is passed across directly to the user (B), together with a version on which a mathematical operation has been performed. The mathematical operation involves application of a pseudo-random sequence to the transaction word, with a start sequence (m) producing a new word (d'). Both the scrambled word and the start sequence are passed to the user. The user reproduces the transaction word from the scrambled word and compares it with the non-scrambled version in an XOR gate, to determine the validity of the transaction.</p> |
