摘要 FIELD: transport engineering; vehicle braking system; devices for automatically changing compressed air pressure in brake systems to prevent locking of wheels. SUBSTANCE: electropneumatic pressure modulator has housing with inlet, outlet and discharge channels and pneumatically controlled valves to provide communication between outlet channel and inlet and discharge channels. Shutoff members of pneumatically controlled valves are made in form of flexible diaphragms limiting the control spaces connected through channels and normally closed and normally open electromagnetic valves, with inlet channel. Novelty in design of pressure modulator is that its housing has two pairs of concentric spaces divided by cylindrical partition; made above partition on housing surface is circular groove communicating with above indicated spaces through channels at both sides of partition. Spaces of one pair are placed in communication with inlet and outlet channels through corresponding channels, and spaces of other pair, with outlet and discharge channels. Circular groove is made on surface of each cover mated with housing above circular groove of housing. Flat diaphragm of each pneumatically controlled valve has ring corrugation limiting control spaces together with circular groove of covers. Control spaces are connected with modulator inlet channel by channels in covers. EFFECT: increased response and service life, enhanced reliability of modulator, reduced operating pressure losses for opening its pneumatically controlled valves, possibility of use in quick-acting pneumoautomatic systems operating on higher compressed gas pressure. 2 dwg
