<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out processings scheduled to be executed to the end, if any emergency situation occurs. <P>SOLUTION: A cellular phone comprises a power control unit for supplying driving power; a RAM capable of storing data in a state where no driving power is supplied from the power control unit; a crime prevention switch for detecting the occurrence of emergency situation; and a control unit which is driven by supplying the driving power from the power control unit. Upon the detection of emergency situation occurrence due to the crime prevention switch 18, the control unit stores in the RAM an ON emergency flag indicative of an emergency mode (S17) and carries out emergency processing (S12).
