<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce troublesome cleaning and washing work by discharging sludge adhering on a filter bed to a downstream side by removing the sludge from the bed in a treatment wherein waste water containing organic substances are subjected to an aerobic treatment with biological sludge deposited on the filter bed immersed within a treatment tank. SOLUTION: When a waste water containing organic substance such as feces, air is jetted into an aeration treatment tank 1 through an aeration tube 3 in order to carry out aeration of an interior of the treatment tank 1 and a blower 4 is operated for causing convection within the treatment tank 1 and the waste water containing organic substance is circulated to a filter bed 2 for the purpose of carrying out purification treatment by use of biological sludge deposited on the filter bed 2. A backwash blower 6 is automatically operated at a predetermined interval in order to remove sludge adhering on the filter bed 2 by air jetted from a backwash nozzle toward the filter bed 2 at a periodic interval. The removed sludge is recirculated and dispersed into the treatment tank 1 sequentially and discharged to, for example, a sewerage system. Thus, the filter bed 2 is automatically prevented from being clogged so that purification function of the filter bed 2 can be kept in a good state for a long time.</p> |
