PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric liquid level sensor that easily fits to various installation places and liquid level detection points and has a wide use range without being restricted in installation place and liquid level detection point. SOLUTION: In the photoelectric liquid level sensor 10, a light signal path is formed between a light-emitting element and a photodetecting element via an optical prism part 13 and a light switch is constituted of the light-emitting element, photodetecting element and optical prism part 13. A case 14 integrally formed with the optical prism part 13 is constituted of a transparent tube 18 having a predetermined length. A tube 20 coating an electric wire connected to the light-emitting element and photodetecting element is provided. Both tubes 18, 20 are welded or thermally welded into one body. Alternatively, case formation tubes 18, 20 are integrally molded beforehand. Since the case 14 is long and a connection part to the electric wire is formed in a perfect water- proof structure, the sensor can be set to a liquid level detection area, e.g. at the side of a leading end of a thin path or bent path, etc. |
