Algal complex (I) comprises (by weight) (a) 70-90% micronized Lithothamnium calcearum, (b) 7-13% dry Himanthalia elongata extract and (c) 6-17% dry Fucus vesiculosus extract or flour of Fucus vesiculosus and Ascophyllum nodosum. An Independent claim is included for a food supplement (A) for menopausal or pre-menopausal women, comprising (by weight) 50-90% (I), 10-50% soya powder or flour (II) and optionally up to 10% other adjuvants or food additives.
