The invention concerns a strategy game consisting of at least two lots of game pieces (4), each lot to be allocated to a player, and a vertical game grid (1) formed by juxtaposed parallel chutes (3). Said game comprises means for turning the game grid (1) upside down so as to reverse the position of its top and bottom edges, and said grid (1) comprises means (23, 24) enabling the two ends of the juxtaposed chutes (3) to be removably blocked. In one particular embodiment, the game grid (1) is articulated on its support frame (2) about a horizontal axis (8) so that it can be turned upside down by pivoting at 180 DEG ; and it comprises means (12, 14) for locking it in vertical position on the support frame (2). The game enables the players each in turn to insert a game piece (4) in the juxtaposed chutes (3), so as to try and form a predetermined geometric figure. Moreover, each player may turn the game grid upside down, according to predefined rules, to modify the positioning of the game pieces.
