The group of inventions relates to a risperidone derivative, a process for preparing the same, as well as a pharmaceutical composition containing said risperidone derivative. The risperidone derivative, used as a medicament, has a structure corresponding to the chemical formula (I): and has neuroleptic properties, and a melting point of 269.2°C. The process for preparing the risperidone derivative of the chemical formula (I) consists in treating a solution of 3-[2-[4-(6-fluor-1,2-benzisoxazole-3-yl)-1-piperidinyl]-6,7,8,9-tetrahydro-2-m ethyl-4H-pyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidin-4one in an inert solvent consisting of ethanol with a solution of pamoic acid in N,N-dimethylformamide solvent, the resulting precipitate being filtered, washed with ethanol and dried in a manner known per se. According to the invention, the pharmaceutical composition comprises a compound of the chemical formula (I), in a therapeutically effective amount associated with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and is administered as an aqueous suspension in injectable dosage. According to the invention, the composition also comprises benzyl alcohol, sorbitan esthers and/or a cellulose derivative.
