PURPOSE: The titled composition improved in vulcanizing speed and scorch resistance by using tetraisobutylthiuram monosulfide as a secondary accelerator in combination with a sulfenamide accelerator is provided which promotes productivity without lowering physical properties, in particular processability. CONSTITUTION: The rubber composition having improved vulcanizing speed and scorch resistance comprises 100 parts by weight of natural rubber, 0.6 to 2.0 parts by weight of a sulfenamide accelerator, 0.1 to 1.0 parts by weight of tetraisobutylthiuram monosulfide as a thiuram-based accelerator and conventional additives. N-cyclohexylbenzodiazole-2-sulfenamide or N-t-butylbenzodiazole-2-sulfenamide is used as the sulfenamide vulcanization accelerator. |
