PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concrete block rendered entirely air-permeable and water-permeable to promote the propagation of microorganisms and the growth of an ecosystem, and its method of manufacture. SOLUTION: Cement and crushed stones or boulders are mixed in a weight ratio of 1:3 to 5, and then vinylon fibers of 3 to 5%, water of 20 to 30%, and a trace amount of water reducing agent of 0.3% or less, in the weight percentage of the cement, are added thereto, kneaded, and entwined with one another; the mixture is then placed into a form to obtain the entirely void concrete block 5 in which the crushed stones or boulders form voids between them in every part of the block. The method of manufacture of the block is also disclosed. |
