HYDROPHILIC HARD COAT FILM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a film having both better hard coat properties and hydrophilicity than those of a conventional film and a method by which the film having the properties can be formed on the surface of a substrate by a relatively simple method. SOLUTION: The surface of the film obtained by combining a silane compound such as a condensate of a tetraalkoxysilane with a metal alkoxide such as a metal titanium chelate compound and a resin condensable with the silane compound and metal alkoxide is treated with water or ozone.
