<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely dispose image forming units and also improve image quality. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a plurality of image forming units; a pair of support members supporting both ends of each image forming units; and legs 32e and 32f disposed on the underside of each support member in contact with an installation surface. Since the legs 32e and 32f are disposed on the underside of each support member in contact with the installation surface, dimension errors of the components do not cumulate.
