PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform impedance matching of an entire transmission line, including fine transmission lines, in a simple circuit configuration. SOLUTION: First and second transmission lines 100 and 106 are connected to each other in series. A first terminator 101 is connected to the first transmission line 100 in parallel and is provided externally of a semiconductor device 105. A second terminator 103 is connected to the second transmission line 106 in parallel and is provided inside the semiconductor device 105. The values of the first and second terminators are adjusted so that the combined resistance value of the first and second terminators 101 and 103 and the second transmission line 106 matches with the impedance of the first transmission line 101. Impedance matching of the entire transmission line can be achieved with this simple construction, thus, a stable, high quality signal can be transmitted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
