PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform diagnosis by slave substrates independently, without using an elevator control system. SOLUTION: An elevator control system comprises: a plurality of slave substrates 21, 23 incorporating a sub control part 25 which controls call buttons 8, 9 and displays 9, 11, and a transmission driver circuit 12; and a master substrate 2 incorporating a main control part which controls operation of the elevator. The sub-control part 25 of each slave substrate has a normal operation mode and a self-diagnosis mode. In the self-diagnosis mode and with a state where a control information LAN 3 is not connected with input/output terminals with respect to the master substrate 2 of the transmission driver circuit 12, and the input/output terminals are mutually connected, a test signal is applied to a transmitting terminal on a sub control part side of the transmission driver circuit 12 to check whether the transmission driver circuit is right or wrong based on an answering signal from a receiving terminal on the sub control part side of the transmission driver circuit 12.
