PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake vibration detecting device not for detecting braking hydraulic pressure, but for detecting brake vibrations by another method. SOLUTION: Brake vibrations are detected using detection signals of a wheel speed sensor. Concretely, a passage timeΔT of one tooth of a sensor rotor is found from the detection signals from the wheel speed sensor. Then, the passage timeΔT is integrated for one circle of the wheel, so that the average value Tave of the passage timeΔT of one tooth of the sensor rotor is found on the basis of a number of tooth provided to the sensor rotor. A ratioαof the passage timeΔT to the average value Tave is found from the average value Tave and the passage timeΔT of one tooth of the sensor rotor. Using the ratioα, when an amplitude of the ratioαduring braking exceeds a predetermined threshold, the brake vibrations are detected. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
