PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize smoothness of expansion action after operation of a brake without impairing cushioning property in usual traveling in a front fork. SOLUTION: In the front fork 10 for the motorcycle, an auxiliary tank 72 is connected to a lower part of a wheel side tube 12 and an auxiliary oil chamber B2 and an auxiliary gas chamber C2 divided by a partition wall member 73 from the auxiliary oil chamber B2 are provided in the auxiliary tank 72. A communication passage 75 for communicating an oil reservoir B1 with the auxiliary oil chamber B2 is provided and an opening/closing valve 76 for closing the communication passage 75 interlocked with operation of the brake is provided. A by-pass passage 78 for by-passing the communication passage 75 and communicating the oil reservoir B1 with the auxiliary oil chamber B2 is provided and a blow valve 79 for opening the by-pass passage 78 in the state that the opening/closing valve 76 is closed when the pressure of the gas chamber C1 arrives at a predetermined pressure is provided.
