A method for machining a true circle through an electric discharge control is provided to machine the true circle using the characteristic of discharge machining. An electric discharger includes a gauge, a photo-interruptor(217), and an encoder(216). A method for machining a true circle through an electric discharge control includes the steps of: setting a machining mode, performing discharge output true circle machining if the setting corresponds to machining through the photo-interruptor, determining the phase of a value input to the encoder of the electric discharger, counting the output in the determining step, comparing a true circle machining value with the result counted in the counting step, and machining the true circle of the machined object by performing electric discharge machining.
