INVERTER ASSEMBLY AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE HAVING THE SAME

An inverter assembly and a liquid crystal display having the same are provided to minimize vibration or noise caused by electromagnetic force of a transformer by forming a protruded region on a lower case. A cover shield(15) includes a protruded region(17) at a portion corresponding to a transformer(14). An inverter circuit board(13) includes the transformer mounted thereon. The cover shield covers the transformer and the inverter circuit board. The height of the protruded region is within the range of about 1 time to 5 times higher than the height between the transformer and the cover shield. The width of the protruded region is within the range of about 1 time to 5 times wider than the width of the transformer. The length of the protruded region is within the range of about 1 time to 5 times longer than the length of the transformer. The area of the protruded region is within the range of about 1 time to 25 times larger than the area of the transformer.
