An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent damage of the LCD panel and an LCD driver IC(Integrated Circuit) by distributing external impact uniformly by attaching an impact buffering pad on an LCD panel without coating sealant. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) includes an LCD panel(310), an LCD driver IC(Integrated Circuit)(325) which is mounted on the LCD panel in order to operate the LCD panel, a FPCB(Flexible Printed Circuit Board)(320) which is mounted in one end of the LCD panel, and an impact buffering pad(380) which is attached on the LCD panel. The LCD panel includes a thin film transistor substrate and a color filter substrate. In one end of the LCD panel, a stepped portion is formed by size difference between the two substrates. |
