<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical article that has high abrasion resistance, adhesiveness, weatherability, moisture resistance, and coloring property, and has high refractive index. <P>SOLUTION: A glass lens 10 comprises a lens substrate 11, a primer layer 12, a hard coat layer 13, and a reflection preventing layer 14. The hard coat layer 13 is made of coating composition mainly containing the component (A) and component (B). (A) A particulate mainly made of at least one of a titanic oxide particulate and a compound particulate containing titanic oxide.
