<p>The locating spaces (6) in the ends of the truss tubes (3) for receiving a coupling pin comprise an insert (11) which has been introduced into the tube end (18) and is provided with recesses (12). The tube is provided with indentations which engage with the recesses in the insert. The recesses are peripheral grooves. The truss comprises a pair of spaced apart tubes which have a locating space at either end for receiving a coupling pin in order to form cross-connections. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling the truss, including the steps of introducing the insert into the end of the truss tube and then forming indents in the tube by e.g. cold plastic deformation so that the insert is fixed into position inside the tube.</p> |
