A navigation system and a navigation method thereof are provided to supply a three dimensional map screen to a driver by overlaying route guidance information on images photographed by a camera. A navigation system includes first and second display layers(100,200), a position information generating unit, a camera(400), and an image controller(500). The position information generating unit generates current position information using a GPS(Global Positioning System) positioning signal and azimuth information. The camera photographs a front image of a vehicle according to user manipulation. The image controller supplies the front image to the first display layer and supplies route guidance information to the second display layer so as to overlay on the front image. |
