<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power steering device compactly constituted by integrating a hydraulic control valve for the supply and discharge of hydraulic fluid to a part of a housing of a power cylinder for steering assistance. <P>SOLUTION: This power steering device is provided with a torque sensor 8 for detecting steering torque added to a steering wheel 30 together with a steering direction, the power cylinder 5 for applying steering assist force to a rack shaft 1, and the hydraulic control valve 6 operated based on the detected torque of the torque sensor 8 to perform supply and discharge control of the hydraulic fluid of the power cylinder 5.
