PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of expressing a color area of the certain area of DCI standard or more, and to provide a light source thereof.SOLUTION: A light source includes a light-emitting element, and a light conversion layer containing a quantum dot material and resin, and emitting the light emitted from the light-emitting element while converting into white light, and satisfies at least one of (1) and (2). (1) The white light contains a green light component having a peak wavelength between 518-550 nm, and a half width of less than 90 nm, and a red light component having a peak wavelength of 620 nm or more, (2) in the color coordinate of white light, the red vertex is located in a region of 0.65<Cx<0.69 and 0.29<Cy<0.33, and the green vertex is located in a region of 0.17<Cx<0.31 and 0.61<Cy<0.70.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
