<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording method which is excellent in the curing performance of ink in spite of acting an aqueous ultraviolet curable ink. <P>SOLUTION: The ink jet recording method comprises the steps of applying, on an ink non-absorbing recording medium, an aqueous ultraviolet curable ink containing a water-soluble polymerizable substance radical-polymerized with at least water and ultraviolet rays and a water soluble polymerization initiator by a plurality of times in an amount required for forming an image or a coating film, and curing the ink with irradiation of ultraviolet rays every time of applying the ink for recording. The quantity of the ink volume per each application is controlled to limit the water content per unit area of the recording medium of 0.12 mg/cm<SP>2</SP>or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
