The present invention provides products and methods useful as basic rearch tools to carry out experimental control tests of the proliferation of cancer cells, and tests of combinations of active substances and/or new pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of cancer. In a preferred embodiment, the products and methods according to the invention are useful for detecting or quantifying chemoresistance and/or chemosensitivity in vitro, helping to improve the selection of the treatment for patients of various types of cancer.
