PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a conventional aromatic material burning method does not allow enjoying aroma of an aromatic material itself due to the following reasons that in the case of using charcoal as a heat source, there are ignition agent odor caused by burning charcoal, burnt smell of an aromatic material due to burning at high temperature, and a difficulty in keeping a temperature of burning an aromatic material, and in the case of burning with a heat source other than charcoal, the organization structure of an aromatic component is changed by heating due to no ultra-red ray effect of charcoal.SOLUTION: An aromatic material is burnt by using an incense burner which comprises: a heat source; a heated body where a surface to place at least an aromatic material is molded in a nearly flat surface so as to place the aromatic material, and which contains 80% or more of charcoal having a quality of a refining degree of 0-3 degrees and fixed carbon of 85% or more; and a support base to place the charcoal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
