<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walk assisting device which can reduce the height, and which can be miniaturized in such a manner that the fulcrum point of a hanging rod is formed at a position corresponding to the waist height position of a human body, and the human body suspending point is vertically movably formed at a position corresponding to the waist height position of the human body. <P>SOLUTION: This walk assisting device is equipped with a post 2, a hanging rod 3, a human body suspending point 6, a mechanism suspending point 4, and a lifting device (constant load spring device 5A). In this case, the hanging rod 3 is attached in a manner to perform a seesaw motion reciprocating in the vertical direction by a fulcrum 14 of the post 2. The human body suspending point 6 is provided on the other end section 12 which is located on the rear side more than the fulcrum 14 of the hanging rod 3. The mechanism suspending point 4 is provided on one end section 15 which is located on the front side more than the fulcrum 14 of the hanging rod 3. The lifting device is connected with the mechanism suspending point 4, and at the same time, is attached to the post 2 and a device frame 9 which is connected with the post 2. The fulcrum 14 is formed at the position corresponding to the waist height position of the human body.
