<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording medium which has especially high gloss, enough ink absorbing properties and pigment ink suitability, and has a good surface strength of a coating layer, and is close to a texture of a photographic paper for a silver salt photograph. <P>SOLUTION: A cast-coat inkjet recording medium consisting of an ink absorbing layer, a gloss exhibiting layer and a protective layer on a substrate, is characterized in that the ink absorbing layer is a coating composition comprising a water-absorbing inorganic pigment, a latex, boric acid or its salt, the gloss exhibiting layer is a coating composition comprising a sub-micron pigment, and polyvinyl alcohol, and the protective layer at least comprises a colloidal silica with a primary particle diameter of ≥5 nm and ≤55 nm and a ratio of a secondary particle diameter to the primary particle diameter of 1.5-3.0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
