<p>The device is for the reposition of the patella (knee-cap) in a medial direction where patella-femoral pain syndrome and patella-femoral instability exist. It constitutes a knee-brace (1) provided with an elastic stretch band (2) on which are two fixture points (6,7) which correspond with fixture points (5) on the brace. In order to correct the position of the patella, the elastic stretch band is provided with a stretch band wide strip with a high friction coefficient in contact with the skin of the patella. In this way, the skin on the patella is gripped, which in combination with the tension in the elastic band produces the displacement of the patella to the medial side.</p> |
