<p>An apparatus and a method for providing a packet service state using an access class barring list in a mobile communication system are provided to provide and display information that a mobile terminal cannot receive a packet service through an MMI(Man Machine Interface), so that the terminal can accurately recognize the reason why the packet service cannot be received. In case there is the same information between information of an access class barring list included in received system information and previously stored access class barring information, when a packet service is requested, a cell barring information processing unit(240) provides a response to the request for a packet service including packet service providing unavailable information. An MMI(250) displays the packet service providing unavailable information, and when a user requests the packet service, the MMI requests the packet service from the cell barring information processing unit. A controller(220) receives the system information from a network and provides it to the cell barring information processing unit to check whether there is a barring matter with respect to access to resources in a cell. When there is a barred matter, the controller provides it to the MMI.</p> |
