1. A method for fat destruction or removal in a patient comprising:
injecting particulate enhancing agents that comprise one or more of gold, silver and platinum into an interstitial space in fat tissues to be treated in the patient, and applying electromagnetic radiation at one or more frequencies selected from a range of frequencies from and including a radio-frequency energy frequency to and including a near infra-red energy frequency, wherein the particulate enhancing agents absorb the electromagnetic energy and result in heating and destruction of the fat tissues.
