PREPARATION PROCESS FOR SUBSTITUTED POLYACETYLENE MEMBRANE HAVING SULFONIC ACID GROUP, MEMBRANE OBTAINED THEREBY AND ITS USE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preparation process for a substituted polyacetylene membrane to which sulfonic acid groups are uniformly introduced and whose elecrode assembly is used as an electrochemical device and a fuel cell and to provide the membrane.

SOLUTION: In this preparation process for a substituted polyacetylene membrane having sulfonic acid groups is obtained by molding a substituted polyacetylene having a repeating unit shown in formula (1) to a membrane and sulfonating it by making it contact with a sulfonating agent. The membrane of this invention is a substituted polyacetylene membrane which is prepared by this process and whose distribution of sulfonic acid groups is uniform in the direction of thickness.
