PURPOSE:To build up a data communication system inexpensively by inquiring each packet network connection device about its load state when a LAN connection data terminal equipment starts its connection and selecting a packet network connection device with a light load to set a logic channel. CONSTITUTION:In the case of the occurrence of the necessity of data communication with packet network connection data terminal equipments 4a-4n, LAN connection data terminal equipments 2a-2m sends a load inquiry signal to packet network connection equipments 5a, 5b connecting to a broad band packet exchange network 3 at first with group multiple address provided as the standard function of the LAN. Each packet network connection equipment receiving the load inquiry signal checks the load state depending on the resident data quantity in its own equipment or quantity of set logic channel number and returns a load response signal to a LAN connection data terminal equipment instantly when the load is light, for example, and after a prescribed time when the load is heavy. On the other hand, the LAN connection data terminal equipment selects a packet network connection equipment giving a response at first, sends a connection request signal to set a logic channel. |
