<p>A method for the production of a 1,3-thiazolidin-2-one represented by the general formula II: <CHEM> wherein R<1>, R<2>, R<3>, and R<4> are independently hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, which method comprises causing a 1,3-thiazolidine represented by the general formula I: <CHEM> wherein R<1>, R<2>, R<3>, R<4>, R<5>, and R<6> are independently hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group to react with urea.</p> |
