RECUPERATIVE BURNER

The burner, which can be a component of a radiant heating pipe, has a combustion chamber (1) which is connected to a fuel supply pipe (4) and an air guide (9). It also comprises an annular recuperator (5) made of ceramic material. The latter consists of an inner wall (6), a heat-transmitting central wall (7) and an outer wall (8), the central wall being designed as a folded wall, the folds of which bear against both the inner wall (6) and the outer wall (7). They also serve for holding and guiding the combustion chamber (1) inserted into the central wall. The construction according to the invention is simple and favourable in terms of manufacturing technology, being suitable in particular for large burners as thermal stresses are avoided.
