An electrically insulated roller bearing, in which at least one bearing ring (2) is provided on its seating surface (6) and having an insulation layer (9) which is provided at least on the regions of its side surfaces (7, 8) which come into contact with adjacent metallic parts, have a recess (10), which penetrates the insulation layer (9), in the bearing ring (2).
