The invention concerns a method of manufacturing polyurethane/urea elastomers, in which the reaction products, which contain terminal NCO groups, of polyester and/or polycarbonate polyols with a molecular weight of 400 to 10,000 and polyisocyanates are reacted with finely divided diaminodiphenyl ureas of the general formula (I), in which the NH2 groups are in the meta position relative to the urea grouping and R<1>, R<2>, R<3> and R<4>, which may be the same or different, are H or C1-C6 alkyl groups, organic and/or inorganic acid chlorides in concentrations greater than 20 ppm relative to the NCO adduct used being added to one or both components before they are mixed in order to stabilize the reaction mixture.
