<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an yellow ink composition excellent in color reproducing property not only in a high brightness (a high L*) region but also in a low brightness yellow region, i.e., "a low L* and close to zero a* and a high b*", and especially excellent in gas resistance. <P>SOLUTION: This yellow ink composition comprises C.I. pigment yellow 129 and C.I. pigment yellow 74 as pigments of coloring matters by (1/6 to 3/7) weight ratio of (the former/the latter).
