PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a windage loss torque, and also to accomplish the miniaturization of a motor and the reduction of power consumption with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: As for an optical scanner equipped with the light deflector 8 for rotating/driving a rotor 1 equipped with a polyhydric mirror part so as to deflect a light beam and scan with the light, the rotor 1 of the light deflector 8 is constituted of a smooth outer peripheral surface 11 formed of light transmissive material and a bottomed hollow cylindrical body 10 with plural reflecting surfaces 13 for reflecting the light beam and with a prismatic recess 12 coaxially formed, and a connecting part 101 with the rotary shaft 21 of the motor 2 is formed. |
