PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for providing a molded piece with a high dimension accuracy and a method for producing a mold which can reduce industrial wastes to be produced in production of the mold. SOLUTION: A metallic mold 5 (female (recessed) mold) is provided which is provided with a recess and projection pattern that is reverse to a recess and projection pattern to be made in a piece to be molded (a). A first thermoplastic resin 6 is injected into this metallic mold 5 and set at a first temperature (b). After it has set, the thermoplastic resin is released from the mold to obtain a resin mold 6 (male (projection) mold) (c). A second thermoplastic resin 7 is injected into the resin mold 6 and a metallic or ceramic sheet-like material 8 is laminated on the second thermoplastic resin layer 7 (d). They are primarily set at a second temperature in such a laminated state to obtain a primary set mold 9 (female (recess) mold) (e). After it is released from the resin mold 6, the primary set mold 9 is secondarily set at a third temperature to produce a molding mold 10 (f). |
