Wind deflector for opening roof of vehicle

The deflector has a deflecting element that is arranged in front of the open space formed by the opening roof (5). The deflecting element extends in the transverse direction of the vehicle and has an active position where it is raised above the plane of the open space so as to separate the flow of air created by the forward movement of the vehicle. The flow of air is separated into an upper airflow and a lower airflow. The deflector is shaped so that the two airflows are separated from each other parallel to the plane of the open space in such a way so that they do not join together again until a point (A). The point (A) is distant from, and downstream of the deflector.
