PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a radio terminal in which an antenna has a minimum communicable length and also antenna effectiveness is considered when a openable and closable case is opened. SOLUTION: In this portable telephone set as the radio terminal 200, a protrusion 216 is released from a latch hole 217 by sliding a latch release piece 218 while the 1st case 201 and the 2nd case 202 are closed together, and the cases 201 and 202 are turned up to the first angleθ1 with a hinge mechanism 204 as a center with the action of an unillustrated spring for opening/closing the cases so that a speech communication can be performed. In such a case, an antenna part 203 is turned as much as the second angleθ2 in the direction of being separated from the 2nd case 202 by an unillustrated spring for opening/ closing the antenna.
