PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-temperature p-type thermoelement material having such thermoelectric characteristics as stable and sufficient in a high-temperature region. SOLUTION: A high-temperature p-type thermoelement material is provided which comprises a composite metal oxide where at least four kinds of metals are combined among lanthanum, chromium, and strontium, and cobalt and/or nickel. Here, for example, lanthanum oxide, strontium carbonate, chromium oxide, and cobalt oxide are mixed by specified amount and baked in an atmosphere at 1200 deg.C for two hours. Then they are mixed with a ball mill and the mixed powder is molded by a single-axis press at a pressure of 8 MPa, which is molded into a pellet by an isotropic hydrostatic-pressure molding at a pressure of 38 MPa before baked in an atmosphere at the 1,600 deg.C for ten hours.
