TRANSPARENT COMPOSITION BASED ON POLYAMIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent composition comprising a blend of polyamides free from an aromatic unit. SOLUTION: The transparent composition comprises the following components (1) through (4) adding up to 100 wt.%, (1) 5-40% of an amorphous polyamide (B) obtained by either of (a) a condensation reaction of at least one diamine selected among alicyclic diamines and aliphatic diamines with at least one diacid selected among alicyclic diacids and aliphatic diacids, (b) a condensation reaction ofα,ω-alicyclic aminocarboxylic acids, and (c) a combination of the two condensation reactions above, (2) 0-40% of a flexible polyamide (C) selected from copolymers comprising a polyamide block and a polyether block, (3) 0-20% of a compatibilizer (D) for (A) and (B), and (4) 0-40% of a flexible modifier (M), where (C)+(D)+(M)=0-50% and the remainder of 100% is composed of a semi-crystalline polyamide (A).
