摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily extend the area of a load capacity without adding a new process, regardless of reduction of the pixel size. SOLUTION: In a liquid crystal display where image display elements which include transistors, pixel electrodes, and capacities for holding the drain outputs of transistors formed on a semiconductor substrate, are arranged two- dimensionally in first and second directions like an array, the capacities consist of capacity diffusion layers formed on the surface of the semiconductor substrate and capacity electrodes which face the capacity diffusion layers with insulating films between them, and the image display elements include first, second, and third image display elements adjacent to each other in the second direction, and respective capacity diffusion layers of the first and second image display elements are formed along the boundary between the first and second image display elements throughout the boundary length and are substantially integrated.</p>
