PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shredder apparatus capable of treating a plurality of kinds of recording media such that reading of data cannot be certainly performed according to the kinds of the respective media while realizing miniaturization of the shredder apparatus and reduction of a cost. SOLUTION: The shredder apparatus is provided with a plastic deformation part 33 for applying plastic deformation action to the media and a shearing part 34 for shearing the media at a media treatment part 17 for treating the media. The plastic deformation part 33 is arranged at an approximately central position in an axial direction in the media treatment part 17 and further, the shearing part 34 is arranged at both side positions in series to the plastic deformation part 33.
