<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the location of each tote box on the side of a tote box rental company and control the rental period of each rented tote box on the side of a material and raw material manufacturer. <P>SOLUTION: This tote box control server is configured as follows. When the tote box rental company lends out the tote box, lending information including a tote box ID read from an IC tag attached to the tote box is registered into a database by a terminal. When the material and raw material manufacturer ships the material and raw material packed or loaded in the tote box, shipping information including the tote box ID read from the IC tag attached to the tote box is registered into a database by a terminal. When the tote box is returned to the tote box rental company, return information including the tote box ID read from the IC tag attached to the tote box is registered into the database by a terminal.
